Who was Florence Pepper? She was a witness at her wedding to Fred.

Yvonne Simmonds (nee Pepper), say's Lucy lived in Sun St,. Hanley (confirmed) when she used to visit her. She would have sunday dinner. Lucy used to pick up beetles in the house and take them outside. Lucy and Fred didn't have a sink in the house or a toilet. They were both outside. They had a bowl to do the dishes. No cooker either. They would cook directly on the fire.
Fred would take snuff and the spit into the fire. He was a bit blind so would miss and the spit would sizzle on the grate!! Fred liked the ladies and one in particular used to sit on his knee down the pub!
Lucy was quiet like her son, Fred.
Her burial fees amounted to £8.15sh. Grave Space : PH16, Carmountside Cemetary. The funeral director's (Dr. to J.P. Leese) fees where £36.15sh for coffin, fittings and robe. One motor hearse, two motor coaches, Sentinel Adverts 2, Sentinel Ack. 1, New grave Carmountside.
