Staffs) and children William (20,Potter,b.Hanley), James (17, Collier, b.Hanley), John (12,Potter,b.Hanley), Frederic (10,Potter,b.Hanley), Alice (5, scholar, b.Hanley) and Herbert (1,b.Hanley). Almost certain he is Frederick Duncalf's father (see 1851 Hanley Census - his age fits, place of birth is Hanley and his occupation is Boiler Maker, the same as which is printed on Frederick Duncalf's Marriage certificate. A further check would be to get Frederick Duncalf (b. CIR 1854) birth certificate, to see if his mother's name was Ann. Both Ann and James Duncalf shown together on the 1851 Census.)
